A little introduction to my teaching experience and approach!

Hi, I am Ms. Charlotte. Since graduating from Harvard University, I have worked as a writer, translator, and language teacher in Hong Kong. Here, you can find my English-teaching education videos in Cantonese catering to both young and adult students in Hong Kong who wish to have a more systematic grasp of the structure of English, especially as it pertains to writing well for school, work, or business.

Many students want to improve but are tired of learning hundreds of superficial “grammar” rules that they can never seem to apply universally. My systematic way of teaching the deep structure of English, based in basic linguistic concepts, will give you a logical understanding of the language that will allow you to spot your own mistakes.

我是Ms. Charlotte。我在哈佛大學畢業，主修德國文學，現在是個自由撰稿人、翻譯及外語老師。這個頻道的英語教學短片是我專為香港的青年及成年學生而製作的。我會運用簡單的語言學概念去解釋英文的深層結構，令大家能更有邏輯地去掌握英文文法，不只是永遠學一些似乎無法在任何情況應用的片面「文法」規則。當你能有系統地理解英文深層文法，便可以看清楚自己寫作上的問題，進而提升英文水平。

我記得有我在加拿大，有個瑞典籍同學，他的英文程度好過好多加拿大鬼仔鬼妹，唔知係味都係日耳曼語言，所以北歐人的英文特別好。。。甚至，好過英國人。。。
